Thank you. Thank you for being the Best Friend my brother needed and always dreamed of. Thank you for being the partner he always spoke of and we both thought truly did not exist. But most of all, thank you for your dedication. I understand that living what some coin an "alternative lifestyle" can be challenging at times, but you have managed to demonstrate compassion and loyalty to those you care most about. I have been honored to know you through the years as my brother's partner – thus my own brother – but I also deem you a respectful role model. Thank you for everything you do for both my brother but also those you care about outside my own family. I look forward to the official welcoming you into the family in the coming year but I wanted you to know now – you are an admirable individual.
